Originally, it came from the musical "Hair".  It has later been used in other things, but that was what it was written for.

Originally, it was written, performed by, and released on an album by "Oliver" in the 60 s I believe. Then it was in Hair and then it was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Sounds like someone messed up "good morning sunshine. The earth says hello." Which is what people say to a very groggy person in the morning.
