Now I understand that this is subjective but what is the point of "your" life as you see it.  I cant work it out and at 30 I am beginning to wonder if I will ever understand the "point"

I honestly don't know why but I think I need to have a purpose and be aware of what it is so I can well..... do it I guess.

At the end of the day, it's up to each person to determine.  Is it to make the world a better place?  Is it to serve God (or whatever your belief on what a higher power is)?  Is it a way-station to something else?

Depressed or not, so many people are grappling with the same question.  As for me, I'm going to "live".  What I mean by that is I'm going to enjoy life.  Even though we may

I know what you mean. If we just live a normal American life with a perfect spouse, a picket white fence, and a dog in the backyard, but never really do anything except work and clean and raise kids, then our life seems pretty pointless. But I think you're worrying a little too much. As soon as you start worrying about whether your life has a purpose or not, you start losing sight and hope of your future. All you can do is try to help

Well, you're right about that question being subjective! It's one of those questions that everyone's going to have a different answer for...but no one can ever be "right" or "wrong."

I've thought a lot about this question myself, actually, and I've read a few theories and whatnot.

OMG, I've asked myself that question every day and I'm 65!

I still cannot identify the "point of being alive."  It makes no sense to me unless I totally discount my own life and consider that maybe it's one of my grandkids that is going to make their mark on the world or at least do something that brings inspiration and hopes to others.

What are your talents? Are they obvious or do you find it hard to see them? What topics or jobs are you most drawn to?

This is how you will find what your life plan is.

Before you came here you knew what you wanted to do. It is not so easy to see now but there are clues for you to help remember.

There is no point in our lives. Just consider if we knew about our tomorrow what will happens? we never had any willingness to continue.

We have to do everything honestly for GOD and all people to be alive for the longest of history. If I could be the best, even I die someday my effect on the world never gone, so it means I'm alive.

Interesting that I should come across your question; I've been thinking about the exact same thing lately. My personal response is to serve God by helping others.  It might not be the answer you were looking for, but it sorta fits the slogan: "Don't just make a living, make a life."

There isn't a point to life.  Religious people make it seem like God has a plan for everyone - not so in my book.  We are born, we have babies, we die.  That is what it is all about.  If you find happiness in between then that is a bonus.  The only purpose in life is to procreate.  Quit worrying about the purpose and just go enjoy life.  If you aren't having fun, it is your own fault.  You have to make your own happiness.

there is no point. life is what you make it. A great man once said, " Happiness is in our journey, not in what we expect to find at the end of the road ". The problem with many people today is that they sit on the sofa and watch the tv for 4 to 8 hours a day. What the hell is that. Next, we have succumbed to advertising and marketing. They tell us what to eat, drink, wear, how we feel, what pill to pop to feel better, and on and on.

OK, a straight answer, the point of being alive is "to live".  So, it begs a follow-up question, which is "what is living?"  Well, to live is to be active, to be happy, to contribute to society, to better oneself, to bring joy to those that you care about, etc., etc.

If you need a goal, then try this one "I will be a better me today than yesterday".
